4:12 Student Ministries is attending Atlantafest this year from June 11-14! Tickets are currently available from www.atlantafest.com for $45 + processing fees. Please purchase your tickets individually, but remember, the longer you wait, the more expensive it will be! If you plan to attend, please let Ryan Cadenhead know as soon as possible! When you buy your tickets, please make note of the full festival stone mountain adventure pass for an extra $20 that will get you into everything except the Ducks. This will help us with Wednesday, and if groups split off during the festival for other activities (see later in this article).
Also, the cost of lodging has been determined at $71.25 per person for the full stay! That money will be due to the church no later than May 31st. Please use the Student Ministry envelopes and turn it in to Ryan. We may try to offset this cost by doing some "fundraising" of sorts, that is still to be determined.
Outside of the ticket and hotel cost, you will need money for 4 lunches and 4 dinners (about $10 per meal) and any souvenir money for t-shirts, CDs, stickers, etc you wish to purchase.
We will need chaperones for this trip. To be a chaperone, you will need to be 21 or older and submit to a church background check (SBC, GBC, and RBC policy). If you are interested in being a chaperone, please let Ryan know as soon as possible!
This event is a witnessing and outreach opportunity along side of a fun music-filled festival. Please invite your friends that may not be in church, or those who may be struggling with various things in their lives. The speakers and artists share their testimonies and the Word of God every day during the event, and you never know the message that someone may need to hear from this event.
We plan to leave early morning on the 11th to arrive at Stone Mountain and spend the day in the park, then at 5p we will enter the first part of the festival! After Wednesday night's concerts, we will attend the Laser show and check in to the hotel.
Each morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and have a group bible study/devotional before leaving for the park. Once at the park on Thurs, Fri, and Sat; we will review the schedule for the day and split into groups for the various concerts. If there are a few concerts in a row that do not appeal to a small group, we will allow that group with a chaperone to go and spend time in the other areas of the park such as a hike. We will come back to the main meadow for dinner each night before the final speaker shares the Word of God and then enjoy the headliner for the evening as a group. After the headliner, we will review the late night stage artist and vote to stay or return to the hotel. At the end of Saturday, we will pack up the van(s) and head home. Last year, we returned around 1:30 AM, and plan to arrive around the same time this year.
Lastly, we are going to be taking donations of bottled water to prevent dehydration during the trip. If you would like to donate bottles of water, please bring them to the church and label them appropriately!

We still have a limited quantity of our 4:12 Student Ministry t-shirts available. They are only $15 each, and would make a perfect birthday, Christmas, or other gift for anyone in our church! If you would like to purchase one, please see Ryan Cadenhead about sizes available!
